Colors
Monsoons are fun as long as we have the luxury of staying indoors and watching a movie while enjoying a bowl of popcorn and a steaming cup of coffee! But what about those of us who need to venture out every single day on work and face the water, the mud and the dirt? Clouds coupled with continuous rain tend to dampen the spirits. Hence let your colors be bright and lively if you are one who is comfortable and confident enough to carry it off with élan. Colors like yellow, pink, turquoise, violet and green tend to spruce up ones spirit and make him/her feel lively. However, if you are not comfortable with sporting bright shades, then stick to colors which play safe during monsoons, for example, shades of brown and grey. These tend to camouflage minor mud and water stains and make them less prominent. Please avoid white, black, beige and the likes.
As far as outerwear like raincoat is concerned, bright neon shades are a good choice during heavy rain. It increases chances of visibility and also brightens up your look!
Fabrics
Please go for fabrics that are lightweight. This will help the fabric dry faster if at all it gets wet. Fabrics like pure cotton, mulmul and lightweight silk. Please strictly avoid fabrics which absorb water as they will tend to get wet easily and take longer to dry. You could also opt for fabric like Polyester Cotton, Gabardine and a few other Silicone washed fabrics as they tend to be stain proof to quite an extent. Avoid linen as it tends to get wet and crushed easily.
